La tournée « Born in the U.S.A. » est la tournée de concerts en soutien à l’album du même nom . Ce fut sa tournée la plus longue et la plus réussie à ce jour. Il a présenté un Springsteen physiquement transformé ; après deux ans de musculation, le chanteur s’était considérablement gonflé.
La tournée a débuté en juin 1984 et a traversé les États-Unis et le Canada. En mars 1985, la tournée se rend en Australie, au Japon et en Europe. Il est ensuite retourné pour une deuxième étape de la tournée américaine au cours de laquelle Springsteen et le E Street Band ont joué dans des stades de football professionnels à guichets fermés. La tournée s’est terminée en octobre 1985 à Los Angeles.
